SIR utilizes legislative and regulatory advocacy to communicate with state and federal officials on issues affecting interventional radiologists. In amplify SIR’s Government Advocacy activities, our members are invited to participate in IR advocacy by volunteering to serve on the Government Affairs Committee or by joining the SIR grassroots advocacy program, Voices for IR.

The goal of this IR Advocacy 101 course is to provide information about the art and science of effective advocacy needed to influence policy by building relationships with key lawmakers and knowing how they can influence pro-IR policy. This course has valuable resources that include video training modules, articles and recordings of SIR webinars on numerous advocacy topics.
