SIR 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting Deep Dive: Vascular Anomalies in Adult Patients Credit Claim

This course is for attendees to the Deep Dive: Vascular Anomalies in Adult Patients Ticketed Event Live in Toronto, Canada on Saturday April 11, 2026.

Vascular anomalies (VA) are a group of rare diseases, best managed with a multidisciplinary approach. Multidisciplinary clinics are most frequently affiliated with pediatric centers; by early adulthood, the majority of VA patients become ineligible for further care in pediatric centers. Locating a VA provider in any specialty can be very challenging for adult patients. Deterioration of the adult VA clinical condition is often unavoidable in the absence of ongoing care. Many interventional radiologists learn VA interventions such as embolization, ablation, and sclerotherapy in training; however, this experience alone is insufficient for the diagnosis and comprehensive management of adult VA patients.

This Deep dive was developed by Kari Nelson, MD, FSIR, Shellie Josephs, MD, Clifford R. Weiss, MD, Kyung Rae Kim, MD, Aparna Annam DO, FSIR, and Gulraiz Chaudry, MD.

Attendees will also receive access to the following lectures in the LMS course prior to the meeting:

  • Initial Evaluation and Work-Up (physical examination, labs, imaging) – Raja Shaikh, MD
  • Surgical Treatment of Vascular Anomalies – Steven Fishman, MD
  • Slow-Flow Malformations: Lymphatic Intervention – Michael Miller, MD, FSIR
  • Special Topics in Adult Vascular Anomalies Patients: Chronic Pain and Mental Health – Clarice Contente, MD
